What is the role?
The role of Manager-EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) involves overseeing and implementing policies and practices to ensure workplace safety, environmental compliance and employee health within the organization. It is particularly focused on industry Iron & Steel, with responsibilities spanning environmental management and safety compliance.
What are the responsibilities involved?
- Overall EHS Management, Risk assessment & Hazard identification, Daily Monitoring (Safety Patrols / SAO) at factory premises for unsafe conditions / acts & plan improvements, Develop / Upgrade Work Standards / SOP’s as per statutory requirements / guidelines.
- Conducting various Safety Trainings, Incident analysis, preventive measures; Maintain Compliances with records related to EHS Management, Co-ordinate for EHS Audits, EHS Committee & ERT Team function, Monitor & maintain Fire hydrant system, STP & Smoke detector system at the factory.
- Safety Campaigns, Motivational activities for Safety & developing Safety Culture + Innovation / QSS Activities at factory
- Support to other Shop-floor sections as & when needed
What do we need in this role?
- B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical and Electronics, Automobile, Environmental, Production/Industrial, Mechanical
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 14001:2015 & OHSAS 18001:2007
- Experienced in EHS Audits
